  Engagement SURPRISE dinner DEBACLE after DEBACLE after DEBACLE!. Managers callously RUIN SURPRISE, probably still oblivious, and did not appear once to care about the meaningful event about to take place at their restaurant. This is our family's special event place since we moved to Houston 15-years-ago (we started off at the Perry's in New Territories that doesn't exist now). We have lots of good memories here. I might as well been a colonoscopy rep trying to sell toilet paper. I spoke to a wonderfully kind young woman who arranged the dinner on the phone, my number was written down incorrectly- the details were messed up......... ALL EASILY REPAIRABLE GUYS, EASY, by competent AUTHENTICALLY CARING managers, not a 'double team up' on customer- We were checked in by a super sweet young lady, luckily we had a fantastic waitress, and the food was yummy as always. It was the inability to see us as anything but a dollar sign, taught empathy does not exist- taught 'manage people skills' left me feeling only managed, like government managed care. There was a quick sales pitch that took priority over the "surprise" which neither manager was interested in keeping- the surprise was blown- that is why I was angry- not because things were messed up. I gave the comp appetizer money to the waitress. It wasn't about comps or cost- it was about a meaningful family event for us and we choose Perry's as we have always done.. What a disastrous way to treat people who loved this place, huge loss for us.
