  I have been here several times and have always had a pleasant experience. I bring my dog and sit outside. They are pet friendly. My only complaints is the hours are too short. I wish they were open later. I once did have a spoiled wine and thought maybe it was just me and I didn't care for the wine. I brought it to the bartenders attention and he agreed (so I wasn't crazy thank goodness). He replaced the wine. I was not charged.

  I have no words strong enough to describe the horrible experience we (educated wine drinkers) had. The owner was not only rude, arrogant, and dishonest but tried to pass off spoiled wine as our problem with taste. He attempted to give us the rest of the bottle, charge us for the spoiled wine, and then followed us to the parking lot threatening us when we refused to take or pay for the rotten wine. I took 1 sip and was sickened by the vinegar taste. We paid for the 2 glasses of acceptable wine and left a tip on 57.00 bill. Evidently this is common behavior. Buyer BEWARE!

  Last year, my friend and I were walking our babies their strollers around La Centerra, and decided to stop in for a glass of wine. The waiter met us at the door and told us that kids weren't welcome inside, but we told him we wanted to sit on the patio. After all, I've seen plenty of people out there with dogs -- our infants, in their strollers, are far less obtrusive than dogs on leashes. The employee told us we couldn't bring them on the patio either, because the bar has a "policy" against serving people with children, because they didn't want us "driving drunk" with our kids.
  
  We were gobsmacked. My friend and I are mature, well educated women. We know our limits and we would never put our children at risk. We don't need to be policed by an employee at a wine bar. I also wondered about the practicality of the "policy". After all, most people in Katy have families -- how do they know that any patron isn't going to pick up their child afterwards?
  
  On top of all that, a few months prior to this experience, my family and I attended the 4th of July at La Centerra, and Another Round served my husband several glasses of wine from their outdoor bar, while he was pushing our son in a stroller. I have to wonder if this "no kids" policy applies only to women.
  
  In the meantime, there are plenty of other places in Katy that seem willing to take my money, including Drix -- a wine bar with a kid's menu and a play place. Apparently they trust women to make good decisions for themselves and their kids. Alienating moms in Katy doesn't seem like a great idea.
